Born and raised in Marion, SC, I've been through my share of trials and trouble, but no matter the obstacles, I stayed focused. Like the owl gripping the snake, the praying hands steady in the midst of the serpent, and the snake wrapped around the Bible and the gun—each symbol reminds us of the constant battle against distractions. The snake represents the temptations, setbacks, and illusions that try to throw us off our path.
